Hello parents and students!

Progress Reports for Marking Period 2 are being distributed today (December 1st, 2022). Student will be given a paper copy of the report to take home.

If you have a NYC Schools Account, you can login to see a digital copy of your childs report card there.

If you don’t have a NYC Schools Account (or don’t know what that is), it’s an awesome tool that lets parents keep up to date with not just student progress at school, but also see attendance, schedule, test scores, and more! You can find more information on how NYC Schools Account can serve you well at the following site.

You can create a new account at the following link. Just follow the steps until you are asked to enter an account creation code. This code is what is used to link you to your childs accounts.

Because of the sensitive nature of this data, you will have to call our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Daijha Scott. You can reach here at (718) 858-0249 ext. 8073 during the weekdays between 8:00AM – 3:15PM.

In addition, you can respond to the email message that has been sent out to parents regarding report card distribution, and Ms. Scott will contact you with your creation code.

Thank you, and have a great day!

Dear Urban Assembly School of Music and Art,

The safety and well-being of our students and staff members remain our highest priority. Toward that end, we are notifying you that this morning, we were informed of a potential threat to our school on social media.

NYPD was immediately contacted and is actively investigating the report. In the interim, we have been assured that there is no immediate threat to students, faculty or staff at our school. We therefore are proceeding with a regular day of instruction.

As part of our safety efforts, we have increased supports including additional school safety agents and NYPD presence on campus. Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to ensure that our school continues to provide a safe, supportive learning environment for all of our students. It is important that we remain vigilant, and if we see something, say something.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school at (718) 858-0249.

Best,
Paul J. Thompson
Principal
Urban Assembly School for Music and Art
