read moreUpdate for Families on Health and Safety Protocols
Dear Parents and Students, We hope you are safe and healthy, and finding some rest and relaxation this summer. As we are approaching the start of the 2020-21 school year, we want to share some important new information with you about health and safety protocols in our school (and all schools in general) for the upcoming school year. All schools are preparing for blended learning, during which students learn in-person in school buildings for part of the week, and continue learning remotely from home on the other days. However, any family can choose 100% remote learning for any reason. If your preference is 100% remote learning, we ask that you let us know by this Friday, August 7, so that schools have enough time to plan. Please visit schools.nyc.gov/returntoschool2020 to fill out a short web form, or call 311. You can find the reminder of this letter which includes: Criteria to Open Schools and Keep Them OpenWhat Happens if Someone Gets SickOverall Health and Safety Protocols for Every School By going to this link. My information will be sent out in the coming weeks, so please stay...

Good evening everyone! A quick update to summer school. Classes begins tomorrow. Emails went out to parents and students containing the classes students will have to make up. Classes start at 8:30AM and end at 12:30PM. The times for specific classes are still not known. This information will be provided via email and the website as soon as it’s available. A separate email went out last week containing information on how students can activate their nycstudents.net accounts, which will be necessary to access their classes on the TeachHub Portal. From there, students can reach the iLearn platform where they can see their classes and learning content. A link to the TeachHub Portal is provided in this posting, as well as in the sidebar. We have also created a Google Classroom. This classroom has to be accessed via the TeachHub Portal. It is called UAMA Summer School Check-In, and students will have to submit a daily Engagement CheckIn for the day. Check for updates via the school website: http://www.uamusicandart.org For any general questions, please contact our Parent Coordinator Ms. Copeland at copeland1@uamusicandart.org For any tech related inquiries, please contact our Technical Specialist Mr. Collado at adam@uamusicandart.org For any instructional questions, please contact Assistant Principal Mr. Vural at...
